As you may or may not have heard, I have taken on the position of Communications Officer for Wolf Creek ATA Local #3, a position held for many years by Jim Moore. It may be a bit presumptuous to make this the "front page" news, but I know that I , at least, will be reading this newsletter and I have always wanted to see my name on the front page of a newspaper. For a good reason, that is...
First, I want to extend my sincere appreciation to Jim Moore who has put in many hours already, helping me with the new programs, assisting me in learning just what this job entails, and guiding me in the ways of a Macintosh computer. He continues to work behind the scenes in helping me with the web page and in publication of this newsletter. Thanks, Jim!
As well, I wanted to take the opportunity to thank those who contributed articles this month and to earnestly ask (beg) that more teachers take the opportunity to do the same. Not only will you help share and celebrate the many great things teachers in our division are doing, you will be the proud recipient of an "I’Äüve Been Up the Creek" T-shirt.
If you send me photos and a brief write-up, (preferably as a Word document) I am more than willing to expand upon it and make an article. Having just finished my Masters degree, I have become very adept at taking just a little bit of information and building pages around it.
